The 27th Annual Richmond Road Race held on January 18, 2009. My wife Stephanie took 2nd place for her age, 10th place overall (women). You have to be crazy to run in this weather!
My wife Stephanie has been training with the ladies of the Ottawa Athletic Club since the spring. They were kind enough to let me photograph one of their workout sessions. The sun was harsher than I preferred, and I was unfamiliar with the layout of the park, but I managed to get a few nice shots.
Stephanie took part in the 2008 Emilie Mondor Memorial 5K Race for Women. The race was held in Ottawa at the Aviation museum. Hundreds of women participated.
Where Is Franktown run is a yearly event that is put on by Calvary Christian Academy. My son Isaac was in the 1Km race, Stephanie was in the 5Km race. I was a volunteer photographer, so I took tons and tons of photos. I had a blast. It only took me a week and a half to get the photos processed!
I went to cheer on my wife, and ended up taking over 300 pictures! I was the buy in the black parka on top of the snow bank slowly freezing my hands...
You will probably be able to find yourself approaching the finish line.
